The beautiful Ollantaytambo. This town is the longest inhabited city in South America. Legend goes that the Incas revolted against the Spanish in 1537. They diverted a river leading into town in order to flood the streets and hinder Spanish cavalry. They attacked from high terraces and drove the Spanish back to Cusco. Inevitably, the Spanish came back with reinforcements and took the city.
